What can we expect from the 2018 UK festival season

With dates locked in and many of the line-ups starting to be announced, we’re super hyped to see what’s in store for 2018. With 2017 festival season coming to a close we look back at the best moments of the year, and the many new and fantastically different festivals we had the privilege of going to. We can't help but wonder what 2018 has in store for us....here are a few answers in case you want to know:

Headliners

Next year we’re expecting a few well known acts, and a few not so well known acts to top the bills of festivals across the UK. Huge artists such as Queens of The Stone Age, Kendrick Lamar, The Killers, Jay Z, Foo Fighters and Calvin Harris will be likely to feature, alongside fast rising crowd pleasers such as St Vincent, Dua Lipa and London Grammar. New albums from Arctic Monkeys and the resurgent Paramore can only mean we’ll see a lot more of them too – and as always they’ll be a few wonderful surprises.

New festivals

So far, one of the biggest to be announced in the UK is All Points East Festival which is brought to you by the creative minds behind Coachella – this will take place in East London late May, with artists such as LCD Soundsystem, Bjork and The XX already announced. Keep an eye out for our announcements and be the first to find out.

When size doesn’t matter

Don’t be fooled, we love festivals of all sizes, but there’s something about a smaller festival that provides a unique charm. Whilst the bigger festivals are getting all the headlines, we’ll be looking for those little gems – the undiscovered, the weird and the wonderful festivals that are waiting to be loved.

What do we do without Glastonbury AND Secret Garden Party this year?

It’s true, Glastonbury won’t be back until 2019 and SGP is no more L but don’t fret, there are hundreds of festivals to fill that soggy tent shaped gap in your heart. The likes of Leefest has been described as a ‘mini Glastonbury’, or you could go bigger and be at one with nature at Wilderness Festival, go to Bestival which has now moved to August or head to the stunning surroundings of Festival No.6. See this as an opportunity to widen your horizons, also you’ll most likely spend a lot less on your tickets too.

Our advice? Try something different, don’t always be driven by the line up – look at what else the festival has to offer. Larger festivals are becoming quite predictable nowadays, which isn’t a bad thing, we just like to be WOWED – and if you need some help, we’ll be here.
