Some alternative reasons why we love festivals
Updated: 2 days ago
We’ve all had some of the most awful and frustrating times at festivals, yet our love for them continues to grow stronger. In a society where the club scene is becoming less prevalent – why are we turning to the festival flex. Here are 5 alternative reasons why:
Getting boozed up in the daytime
A big draw, I think you’ll agree. The almost rebellious act of drinking during the day is a wonderfully simple thing. Soak in the rays with cold beer (or a warm box of wine as the case usually is).
Parklife Festival
The fresh country air
Being in the countryside is well known for its calming effects on your body – nature isn’t appreciated enough nowadays. Roll in the grass, graze your knees and make some bad boy daisy chains all whilst having amazing entertainment and people around you.
Wildfire Festival
Young love and the bestest of friends
The beauty of a festival is that you can meet a total stranger and be best mates within the hour. Meet the love of your life, reacquaint with distant friends, form unbreakable bonds – chat to as many people as possible, it’s good to talk – we spend too much time with our heads in our phones nowadays.
Wilderness Festival
The pure randomness
Explore, adventure and throw yourself into experiences out of your comfort zone. Randomness is what makes the world go round – create memories, stories and embrace the weird. You’ll never regret it.
El Dorado Festival
Fancy dress
When do you get to dress as a fluffy unicorn and not be frowned upon? You get to be as weird, wonderful and as overtly fabulous as you like. Glitter yourself up, but expect to have it all over you when you go to work on Monday – it’s impossible to remove.
Shambala Festival
