Following an sell-out 2018, GALA is set to return on Sunday 26th May to Peckham Rye Park, London. In keeping with previous years, the fourth edition sees GALA invite stalwarts of the music, food and drinks scenes to celebrate the very best in independent culture.
Line up has now been announced! (see below...) with the party tunes and summer vibes being maxed out to the fullest! The likes of Crazy P, Horse Meat Disco and Mr Scruff will be providing the soundtrack.
Palms Trax brings his much-loved ‘Cooking with Palms Trax’ series for a day-long session of house and disco, whilst Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM curates a brand new stage featuring talent across the jazz and electronic spectrum. Horse Meat Disco’s Pleasure Dome is back for the disco-troupe’s returning third GALA takeover.
Jim Stanton of Horse Meat Disco said: “We're unbelievably excited to be back hosting the Pleasure Dome this summer at GALA Festival for the third time. Each year the festival has gone from strength to strength so this time round you can fully expect our dome to get even steamier!”
Alongside the music offering, GALA is excited to announce its first wave of food partners - a programme which honours Peckham’s thriving food scene. Leading the way, comes award-winning pizzeria Made of Dough, chicken connoisseurs Other Side Fried, plus Only Jerkin who’ll bring their big Caribbean flavours to the date. Honest Burger also make their return and will be serving up the exclusive ‘GALA Burger’. The festival will also link with local microbrewery Brick Brewery as they move their tap room to the park.
