Krusoe

After the release of his much acclaimed first single 'S.O.S', Krusoe tells us about where his unique sound comes from, as well as his future plans and the best thing about being in the music industy.

FFY: Do you feel like moving from country to country had a big influence on your sound? And is there anywhere in particular that holds a special place in your heart?

Yeah for sure moving around definately wove the fabric of my sound. The seaside holds a special place in my heart. I feel most alive with my feet in the sand, sun on my face and the wind in my hair.

FFY: When listening to your debut single S.O.S, it has the feel of someone who's really refined their sound – is this something quite natural, or has it massively changed and developed from since you began?

Yeah I think it has been a natural evolution - It's increasingly more difficult to carve out an original sound at a time where most things have been done before - to find a sound that's fresh and more importantly coming from a genuine place takes some time.

FFY: What's the best and hardest part about being a musician?

Best part: playing with toys most days. Worst - the pay sucks!

FFY: We have to wait until the end of the year to hear the remaining songs on the EP, which is too long. Are you touring at the moment?

Another track from the EP 'Rivers Run Riot' is dropping on the 15th September so not long now! If you want to catch Krusoe live I'll be playing Communion Presents on the 6th November.

FFY: What do you feel the next steps are for you in order to continue to grow as a musician?

Being on the road will lead to new inspiration and discovery. My music seems to grow with every little experience and challenge life throws along the way.
