5 steps to massively increasing your Glastonbury Festival ticket chances

With the first set of tickets snapped up in less than 25 minutes on Thursday, it’s plain to see the popularity of this music festival isn’t waning one bit. If there’s one thing you’ll know if you’ve ever tried to get tickets in recent years, it’s a graft – and you’ve got to be tactical. So here are some tips for Sunday 9th October 2016 (and the April 2017 resale) when the tickets go on sale:
1. Don’t have it large on the Saturday night
As much as you may want to go out on the Saturday night, it will more often than not result in you getting in at 5am cursing the fact you have to get up early to get hold of Glastonbury tickets – you then set your alarm for 8:58am ready for it all starting at 9am. This won’t work, you’ll miss the start (which is essential), won’t be able to find your laptop – and your whole summer will be ruined, well sort of, you get what we mean though.
2. Use a work PC
We all know how temperamental our wifi can be at home. The internet in office environments generally runs at a faster speed, and who’ll be in your office on a Sunday? You can then use as many computers as you like...

3. Registration and payment details
You need to have registered already. Make sure you have the registration details for yourself, and mates you’ll be getting tickets for - as well as your bank card at your side (make sure you have money in the account too).
4. Use one tab
Most web browsers don’t create a separate user session per tab, so stick to the one. Organisers say that it may also lead to transaction errors. It’s best not to constantly refresh either, open a new page and start again if necessary.
5. Get as many of your mates involved as possible
It’s just playing the simple percentage game, the more people that try for you – the more chance you’ll have at getting a ticket. Create a Whatsapp or Facebook group and share all your registration details.
Best of luck!
