Blackheath Fireworks – a Winter event that all of us who grew up in the Lewisham (and probably all of South East London) area would look forward to, a rite of passage almost. For years it was a night that we all looked forward to until, like a spark fading in the dark, it vanished. But now, six years on, the Heath will blaze back into life once more.
Yes, Blackheath Fireworks Festival is back, bigger than ever, on Saturday, 1 November 2025 from 4 pm to 10:30 pm.
Lewisham Council has partnered with Slammin’ Events, the people behind the Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival, to bring the event back and boy, are we excited!
Expect great entertainment from artists/performers such as, Spoony, Lords of Lightning and the Heavy Beat Brass Band, along with a range of fun games, comedy and the funfair which is sure to cause thrills.
The festival will have a fantastic food village, with food from heavy hitters like the viral SpudBros, BBQ Dept, Nanny Bills, The Duck Shed and many more, along with a number of licenced bars for you to get your winter cocktails, mocktails and those mulled drinks that hit oh so well on those winter nights.
Then, of course, we have the main event, one of the largest fireworks displays in London, back with a BANG at 8pm! With up to 30,000 people expected to descend upon the Heath, make sure to get your tickets quick and avoid disappointment.
