Croydon has a major music festival coming and boy is it coming with a bang! Nas, De La Soul, Wizkid, Donae’o and Damian Marley are just some of the names present on the star studded bill of Croydon’s first urban music festival.

The Ends festival will be held in Croydon’s Lloyd Park from 31st May – 2nd June and is being put on by Metropolis Music who, in partnership with Croydon Council, have played an absolute blinder here. The 15,000 capacity festival will welcome US rap legends De La Soul on the Friday. De La Soul are currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of their seminal classic ‘3 Feet High and Rising’, so will be sure to have something special in store. Friday will also see performances from the legendary London MC Ghetts and possibly the GOAT rapper – Nas, what a coup!

Saturday is equally exciting with London’s own Donae’o sure to make the crowds “Party Hard” before Nigerian superstar Wizkid closes the show with what is sure to be a bouncing headline. On Sunday we’ll diversify even further, this time into the Latin realm with multiple time Latin Grammy winner J Balvin blessing the stage before Sunday’s headliner Damian “JR Gong” Marley, closes the show.

With such an incredible urban line up in Croydon of all places, we’re super stoked and I can’t be the only one secretly hoping that Damian Marley brings Nas back out for a Distant Relatives collaboration! Regardless of whether or not that dream is fulfilled, The Ends is sure to be a fantastic debut…maybe Croydon really is the next big spot!
