Field Day is well renowned for their fantastic collection of global headliners as well as new and exciting artists fresh on the music scene. This year is no different, so we’d thought we’d give you a little help with some artists we’re super excited to see this weekend:

Thundercat

A true beat generator, Stephen Lee Bruner otherwise known as Thundercat is an American multi-genre bass guitarist, record producer, singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. Having featured with some of the biggest artists in black vanguard music such as Erykah Badu, Sa-Ra and Flying Lotus his funky, electronic, R&B beats are a delight.

AJ Tracey

One of the fastest rising artists over the last two years, this 24 year old west Londoner took the grime scene by storm. His sets are full of energy and passion, so even if this isn’t your usual type of music, trust us it’s worth it for the show.

Erykah Badu

The Grammy Award winning American singer-songwriter, record producer and disc jockey makes her solo UK appearance at Field Day this year. One of the most soulful women you will have the pleasure of experiencing, her irresistible R&B will be a wonderful soundtrack to your Friday.

Mahalia

Writing her first song at the age of eight, she’s been mastering her sound since then. Her head bouncing, chilled vibes will soothe you into a wonderful trance.  Find yourself a spot on the grass and laze your day away.

Gilles Peterson

This multi-genre disc jockey and record label owner covers everything from acid jazz and hip hop all the way through to electronic and soul. The legend in the industry has worked with the likes of Jamiroquai and Roni Size so you know you’re in for a treat.

Daphni

The multi-talented Canadian composer also goes by the stage names Caribou and Maritoba. Manning the decks, he’s stepped away from his on stage band. Using fantastically original samples layered over an always catchy beat it produces something you want to listen to over and over again.
